With an announcement dated 26 August 2024, the Cyprus Tax Department informed the public that as from 3 September 2024 the filing of objections related to VAT will be done only electronically, through the Tax For All (TFA) Portal.
An account with the TFA Portal, which will be connected with the Tax Identification Code, is needed in order for a taxpayer to be able to file an objection.
A manual as well as a Frequently Asked Questions guide have been posted on the TFA Portal.
It is further noted in the announcement that as from December 2023 an independent unit for examining objections throughout Cyprus has been formed, with the aim of achieving a fair and transparent treatment for all taxpayers.
