The Cyprus Registrar of Companies (the “Registrar”), through an announcement issued on 4 September 2026, granted an extension to the deadline for submission of Annual Returns until 31 December 2026. The Registrar had previously sent reminders to companies with outstanding Annual Returns, together with the related set of financial statements, giving them three months to comply with their obligations otherwise the procedure for their strike off from the registry would be carried forward.
It is clarified in the announcement that for companies which will not comply by 31 December 2026, the process of their deregistration will continue, as provided for under article 327 of the Companies Law, Cap. 113.
