The Cyprus Ministry
of Labour and Social Insurance has recently announced the following in relation
to electronic submissions and payments.
As of 19 September
2022 the electronic submission of applications for Unemployment Benefit became
available through the government portal www.gov.cy.
From 26 September
2022 the electronic submission of applications for Maternity Allowance to the
Social Insurance Department became
mandatory. Before that date online filing was optional.
Starting from 3
October 2022 SISnet, the Online System for the payment of contributions, will
also accept payments of charges concerning Social Insurance for periods whose
deadline has passed. So far it was accepting payments in relation to
contributions paid on time.
In order to submit online
applications for the above mentioned
benefits, the creation and authentication of a profile in the CY Login service (https://cge.cyprus.gov.cy/cyloginregistration/register ) is required.
