Further to our previous newsfeed on this, the Cyprus Tax Department announced on 19 October 2026 that whilst the deadline for submission of the Income Tax Return for 2025 (the “Return”) remains (as extended) the 31 October 2026, there will be no penalties or interest if the Return is submitted by 30 November 2026. Any tax and contributions due must also be paid by the same date.
The Tax Department stresses in the announcement that due to the gradual transition to the new Tax For All Portal, it may no longer be possible as of 1 November 2026 to change the status of a Return from “Final Submission” to “Provisional Receipt.”
